Developed and manufactured at Forge Motorsport HQ in Gloucester, the FMHFIP1 high flow intake hardpipe is engineered as a direct replacement for the restrictive OEM MINI intake pipe and integrated resonator system found on B38 and B48 turbocharged MINI models
Constructed from lightweight mandrel-bent aluminium with CNC-machined connections, this single-piece design eliminates the airflow disruption and restriction created by the factory plastic pipework and resonator chamber. The result is improved airflow efficiency, sharper turbo response, and enhanced induction acoustics throughout the rev range.
Unlike the brittle OEM plastic assembly, the Forge hardpipe uses precision-formed aluminium tubing combined with hand TIG-welded CNC-machined couplers to provide superior durability and a smooth, uninterrupted internal airflow path.
Designed for straightforward installation, the pipe retains compatibility with all OEM plug-in components including:
- Vacuum take-off points
- Factory mounting locations
This ensures true plug-and-play fitment without the need for cutting, adaptation, or additional modification.
The FMHFIP1 can be installed with:
- The factory MINI airbox
- or the Forge Motorsport induction system (FMINDF56/FMINDK26)
High-quality silicone couplers are included to ensure secure sealing and long-term reliability under increased boost and temperature conditions.
To maintain OEM-level fit and clearance, the pipework has been carefully contoured to suit the confined space between the engine, chassis, and surrounding components on the MINI F5X platform. No modifications to the vehicle bodywork or surrounding pipework are required during installation
Important Compatibility Information
This product is designed for earlier B38 and B48 MINI turbo layouts.
It does NOT fit:
306hp JCW models
GP3 models
later LCI2 306hp variants
These vehicles use a revised intake and turbo configuration which differs from earlier MINI F5X platforms.
β I am amazed at how many places Mini has tried to restrict the airflow in the F56 (and I’m sure previous) design. I can count at least three places to impede airflow on the stock F56; up pipe, downpipe, mid-pipe, and exhaust. Add one more place to the list, the stock intake pipe, yep, another resonator. The huge bulge on the stock pipe is yet another place to impede air flow. The Forge hard pipe eliminates the stock resonator blocking air flow and really opens up the turbo β

Fitted to my mini F56 JCW a few months ago and so far all good. Better air flow to enable the car to breath, also increased throttle response and as an added bonus the turbo flutter noise is louder. Fast delivery and fantastic communication from Forge.
Overall would highly recommend to any mini owner.
Amazing flow faster acceleration, great product
I've just had this installed on my 1.5T Manual paired with the uprated intercooler, stock airbox with the BMC F1 filter.
Can confirm more pffff and shhhhh noises when you pull hard, especially audible near low walls like on the toll gate, just ludicrous sound, you can feel more air going through eh eh.
Must say if you have an Auto, i don't think you can enjoy the sounds that much.
Also, i can hear the sound when you change gears with windows closed, before you couldn't hear much.
Sound aside, in terms of performance seems a bit more mean kick in 1st and 2nd but i just got the intercooler installed at the same time so hard to tell what did what now.
Love the aesthetics of the pipe, super well made and even my mechanic was super impressed when i got him the kit!
The turbo boost noise now seems much sportier and louder...acceleration also seems to have picked up. Thanks for all help.

Great product,just fitted to my Works 210 along with one of your intercoolers.Miles more midrange and some lovely intake noise, keep up the good work.
Amazing product, easy to fit if you know what you are doing, gives great blow off sound and induction noise and if you wrap it in gold heat reflective tape it will perform outstandingly in heavy track conditions
Just fitted this to my jcw today. Great piece of kit fitting straight forward once you get the angle right. Car sounds and responds better. Thanks again

Do not use aggressive (acidic) car cleaning products, particularly traffic film remover solutions or shampoos to clean your intercooler, radiator, or oil cooler. The use of these products can damage Forge Motorsport cooling systems and invalidate your warranty. These are often found at car washes. A light, warm, soapy solution (free of harsh acidic cleaning compounds) should be used to clean you cooler and thoroughly rinsed away. We recommend that you should inspect your product on a regular basis for bent and/or crushed fins. Any bent fins should be carefully straightened to allow ambient air to pass through the core face. At the time of installing your Forge radiator, an approved coolant must be used and added to the coolant system. Be sure you never mix coolant and always use distilled water.
This warranty does not apply to any defect in the goods arising from fair wear and tear, wilful damage, accident, negligence by you or any third party, use otherwise than as recommended by the supplier, failure to follow the supplier’s instructions, or any alteration or repair carried out without the supplier’s approval.
Please note, all air filters are excluded from the Forge lifetime warranty.

In most cases it is necessary to remove the scuttle panel which makes the installation far easier. You can do it with out but it is far trickier.

Hi there. I am looking at upgrading my air filter in my mini JCW (2019) and was toying with either upgrading just the filter or the intake pipe as well. However, my car is the LCI model and I just wanted to check whether this part will just be a straight replacement in my car? I can see there is a forge intake for pre LCI and LCI models but wanted to check whether this pipe is standard across the board. Many thanks
