Product Description
We recommend servicing your valve every 3 years, or 20,000 miles, whichever comes sooner
Our blow off valve is designed specifically for the Mini/Peugeot N18 engines including the Mini Cooper S 2011-onwards, Mini JCW Cooper S 2013-onwards, Mini R58 Coupe 2012-onwards, Peugeot 208 GTi late 2012-onwards, Peugeot 308 GTI, RCZ THP 156 & 200, 2011-onwards. This product is either recommended where the boost pressure has been increased by an ECU software upgrade, for those wanting a loud blow off sound, or simply as a solution to the many failures that have occurred.
The most common complaint on the OEM solenoid valve is a split diaphragm preventing the valve from opening fully, or not at all. This doesn’t always result in a check engine light as the valve can still be blown open by the boost pressure. We have seen many valves with this problem.
The other problem is that diaphragm retaining ring is made from very thin plastic that goes brittle with heat cycles and oil contamination, and eventually fails. This prevents the diaphragm from sealing with the same problems as mentioned above. This particular failure also results in the valve falling apart upon removal from the turbo, though in extreme cases bits of plastic can enter the turbo and destroy it.
Our alternative is a fully engineered solution offering both significantly improved reliability. Our valve is piston based, with no diaphragm to fail, and of all aluminium construction, it replaces the original unit with a pressure/vacuum operated piston valve that still also retains the desirable OEM ECU control over valve actuation. The valve has been proved on the VAG scene for many years. The spring is interchangeable for different levels of boost, and the solenoid is plug and play with the wiring harness which is included - as with all Forge products, this valve is guaranteed for life!

Warranty Infomation
The majority of Forge Motorsport products come with a limited lifetime warranty (brakes pads excluded). All warranty claims must be accompanied by the original proof of purchase to enable us to help you. Failure to supply this proof will result in your claim or enquiry being denied.
For further information, please call our customer service team on +44(0)1452 380999 or email info@forgemotorsport.co.uk.
Do not use aggressive (acidic) car cleaning products, particularly traffic film remover solutions or shampoos to clean your intercooler, radiator, or oil cooler. The use of these products can damage Forge Motorsport cooling systems and invalidate your warranty. These are often found at car washes. A light, warm, soapy solution (free of harsh acidic cleaning compounds) should be used to clean you cooler and thoroughly rinsed away. We recommend that you should inspect your product on a regular basis for bent and/or crushed fins. Any bent fins should be carefully straightened to allow ambient air to pass through the core face. At the time of installing your Forge radiator, an approved coolant must be used and added to the coolant system. Be sure you never mix coolant and always use distilled water.
This warranty does not apply to any defect in the goods arising from fair wear and tear, wilful damage, accident, negligence by you or any third party, use otherwise than as recommended by the supplier, failure to follow the supplier’s instructions, or any alteration or repair carried out without the supplier’s approval.

I have a MINI jcw r56 lci 11/2013. In 2016 I did a 2nd stage upgrade to the engine. The valve I had put on it was the FM 207v which I was looking at getting serviced. But through your website I can see that this valve I'm currently wearing on top is not correct. The car has not presented me with any problems. Raise pressure as needed based on mapping. What should I do; Should I change it and put this one FMDVR60A Or leave it and just order a service kit? thanks
hello , a service kit will be fine , please find the link attached

So would this fit the 2011 peugeot 308 gti
Hello, no, sorry this will not fit. Please provide a picture of your engine bay, as we may have a solution
Hi, I purchased this waste gate and fitted it to my R57, N18 Cooper S (stage 2). It has an upgraded intercooler, re-instated bonnet scoop air intake, intercooler resonates delete, stage 2 map and should be making around 240+ hp. I followed the instructions but I am sure it is not working correctly. I swapped in the red spring and I believe I connected everything as it should be. However, when the car first starts, if I apply any boost, the atmospheric release is in two distinct stages, the first hiss short and very pronounced followed by a second, longer lower pressure release. I also notice on occasions that it sounds like it is releasing boost when under a gentle load with the turbo only just engaged, which it shouldn’t be. Is this a common issue, can you offer me some guidance on what I might have done incorrectly based on my description? If it helps and you provide me with an email address I can send a short video to demonstrate it. Thanks,
good morning , please forward me the video and i will try my best to assist.
Hi there, back in February I purchased and installed your FMDVR60A BOV kit on my N18 Cooper S, I love the valve and up until now everything has been working just fine, but I now have a question, I have recently installed your resonator delete pipe (hotside intercooler pipe) after fitting this I saw a slight increase in boost pressure from approx. 10psi to approx. 11psi. This weekend I fitted a K&N Typhoon CAI induction kit and am now seeing a further increase in boost to just over 12psi, since fitting this my car seems to be less responsive, although still producing boost, I wonder if I'm now leaking some boost through the valve, I currently have the standard BLUE spring installed. So my question is at what point do I need to fit the uprated RED spring that came with my BOV kit, should I fit it now, and could this solve my problem as I'm now running at higher boost than standard? Also is there any risk to the turbo in fitting the RED spring with my current boost levels? Kind regards, Tim
hello , at this boost pressure the blue spring should still be suffice, the red spring can be fitted at over 15psi
Hi there, Got a stage 1 cooper s and was wondering if this blow off valve came with the yellow spring (as the red spring may be too strong for a stage 1 tune) or is it only the red spring that is included. If so, what spring set is recommended?
Hi Takura, thank you for your question.
the valve itself is built with a blue spring, this is for stock applications, if you are mapped then you will need to use the red uprated spring that's provided in the kit.
Hi, I want to remap my car Peugeot 308 cc GT 1.6 turbo THP 150, plate EU59LNF, and the stock diverter valve is not strong enough. Does this blow off valve for Peugeot RCZ would fit in my car? Since my car has an RCZ engine?
This is correct valve for the Peugeot 308,its specifically designed for the 308

Hi there, I have an r56 mini cooper which I'm looking to get remapped to around 220 bhp, as such I thought it would be a god idea to get a blow off valve as well. I am looking at the one you are selling for the r56 mini and have 2 questions. Firstly, because I have an n18 engine , will this part be compatible? I can only find information saying that its compatible with the n14 and just wanted to be sure. Secondly , as I am increasing the power of the car and as a resultant the boost pressure, will the uprated red spring that comes with the kit be enough to cope with 220bhp? Thank you
hello , the valve you will need for the N18 engine is FMDVR60A for the atmospheric type or for the recirculating version is FMDVR60R , the red spring included in the kit will easily cope with 220BHP.
