This valve is for the Peugeot / BMW Mini 1.6 Turbo engines, as found in the Peugeot 207/307/308 GT Turbo and BMW Mini Cooper S Turbo R56/57 models with the N14 engines.This solution is recommended for any vehicle where the boost pressure has been increased by an ECU software upgrade, and for unmodified vehicles operating in warmer climates, as a solution to the many failures that have occurred.
The most common complaint on the OEM solenoid valve is a split diaphragm, which prevents the valve from opening fully, or not at all. This doesn’t always result in a check engine light as the valve can still be blown open by the boost pressure. We have seen many valves with this problem (see image above). The other problem is that diaphragm retaining ring is made from very thin plastic that goes brittle with heat cycles, and eventually fails. This prevents the diaphragm from sealing with the same problems as mentioned above. This particular failure also results in the valve falling apart upon removal from the turbo; in extreme cases, bits of plastic can enter the turbo and destroy it.
The alternative is a fully engineered solution offering both significantly improved reliability. Our valve is piston based, with no diaphragm to fail, and of all aluminium construction, it replaces the original unit with a pressure/vacuum operated piston valve that still also retains the desirable OEM ECU control over valve actuation. The valve has been proved on the VAG scene for many years. The spring is interchangeable for different levels of boost, and the solenoid is plug and play with the wiring harness, which is included.

Brilliant product. Used this to replace my faulty recirculation valve in my 207 1.6 turbo as I had lost all turbo boost pressure. Delivery was super quick and installation relatively clear and easy, even for a complete novice in car mechanics. Car is back to being a rocket again so awesome. Looks good quality and well made.

Warranty Information
The majority of Forge Motorsport products come with a limited lifetime warranty. All warranty claims must be accompanied by the original proof of purchase to enable us to help you — failure to supply this proof will result in your claim or enquiry being denied.
Please note that some products are excluded from the Forge lifetime warranty and instead carry their own specific warranty terms — for example, air filters, electrical components, coil packs, carbon fibre products, and suspension kits. Do not use aggressive (acidic) car cleaning products, particularly traffic film remover solutions or shampoos, to clean your intercooler, radiator, or oil cooler. The use of these products can damage Forge Motorsport cooling systems and invalidate your warranty. These are often found at car washes. A light, warm, soapy solution (free of harsh acidic cleaning compounds) should be used to clean your cooler, and thoroughly rinsed away afterwards. We recommend that you inspect your product regularly for bent and/or crushed fins — any bent fins should be carefully straightened to allow ambient air to pass through the core face. At the time of installing your Forge radiator, an approved coolant must be used. Be sure you never mix coolant types, and always use distilled water.
This warranty does not apply to any defect in the goods arising from fair wear and tear, wilful damage, accident, negligence by you or any third party, use otherwise than as recommended by the supplier, failure to follow the supplier's instructions, or any alteration or repair carried out without the supplier's approval.
This does not affect your statutory rights.
Ignition Coil Packs
Forge ignition coil packs carry a 12 month warranty against manufacturing defects (not our Lifetime Warranty), from date of purchase. As coil packs are often swapped as a full set on suspicion rather than a confirmed fault, claims must identify the specific faulty unit(s) with supporting evidence (e.g. a diagnostic misfire code) and proof of purchase. Electrical Components
Electrical components supplied with Forge Motorsport kits — including solenoids, wiring harnesses and looms — are covered by a 12 month warranty against manufacturing defects, rather than our standard Lifetime Warranty. This covers faulty materials or workmanship only, and does not cover damage from incorrect installation, water ingress, wear, incorrect wiring, or faults originating from your vehicle's own electrical system or other aftermarket electrical accessories. Heat Management Products (Turbo Blankets and Gold Reflective Heat Barrier)
Turbo blankets and our gold reflective heat barrier are covered by a 6 month warranty against manufacturing defects (not our Lifetime Warranty), from date of purchase. Turbo blankets cure and lose flexibility over their first few heat cycles as a normal part of fitting. Once heat-cycled they should not be removed. The gold reflective heat barrier is designed for components such as engine covers, intake pipes and induction trays, not for direct contact with exhausts or turbine housings. Next day delivery applies to orders processed before 12 noon Monday to Friday, subject to stock availability and geographical restrictions. 'Next day' refers to next working day. We cannot guarantee next day delivery for orders placed after this time. Delivery is free of charge for all orders £200 (ex VAT) or over. Products are sent by standard DPD service which is usually a next day service, but can take 2 days in transit. We reserve the right to ship smaller, lower value items via Royal Mail or any other service. (Not including Scottish Highlands, Scottish Isles, Northern Ireland, Guernsey, Jersey, and Isle of Man where charges will vary).

Delivery service charges will vary depending on the quantity of product ordered, the related parcel size, and destination postcode. Live shipping rates will be calculated at checkout using ShippyPro and dependent on criteria, you will be given the option of DHL, DPD, or FedEx courier services.
Shipping into the EU - Duty Charge Information
All Forge products are sold with a Delivery Duty Unpaid (DDU) status and an import tariff may apply to your order. Customers will be contacted by the Customs and Excise authority in the destination country regarding payment prior to delivery, and it is important that correct contact telephone number and email information be submitted with the order to facilitate this part of the delivery process. Some couriers are charging an admin fee for shipping into the EU.
If we detect at checkout that you are located within the European Union (EU), you are eligible for a contribution towards your import duty and tax payments. We can add an additional 20% on the total cost of your order, we will then pay the duty and tax costs above your contribution. Forge Motorsport ships via either UPS, FedEx, DHL (primarily for outside of UK), DPD (primarily for UK), or any other courier we chose. Other shipping options may be available for an additional fee over and above the actual shipping costs. Once a product has left our warehouse and is in the possession of the shipping company, any claims must be made directly with that shipper however we can assist with most cases.

Expert Answers
What is the different between FMDVR56A and FMDVMCS? FM207V is plug and play with FMDVMCS?
The FMDVMCS is a blow off spacer and has no other functional qualities; it works in conjunction with ether the stock recirculation valve or the Forge FM207V, plug and play for both/all options.
The FMDVR56A is a complete replacement valve, essentially the same as the FM207V from a function perspective, also incorporating the blow off noise quality and is louder than the FMDVMCS blow off spacer.
Difference with FMDVR56A
The FMDVR56A is a blow off type valve, otherwise identical to the FM207V.
Will this work on a standard unmapped engine?
Yes, supplied with a stock equivalent spring strength fitted for standard engines, and an extra spring option for customers who have mapped their engine.
