Blow Off Valve for Hyundai Genesis Sonata and Kia Sportage and Optima.
The Forge direct replacement blow-off valve is designed to be a more durable and performance oriented valve than the OEM unit. The OEM valve is suitable for stock boost levels for a period of time, however, once boost pressure is raised, and after prolonged use, the stock valve will no longer be adequate. Raising the boost output of the vehicle will have a number of effects on the OEM valve. First and foremost, the additional boost pressure will quickly exceed the capacity of the OEM spring to keep the valve closed under higher boost levels. Since you cannot change the springs in the OEM valve, it cannot be adjusted for higher boost levels. Secondly, the additional heat generated by the increased boost will quickly deteriorate the OEM rubber valve diaphragm, which will also lose strength with repeated oscillations.
The Forge valve uses full billet aluminum construction and Viton silicone o-rings that will withstand the highest boost levels and repeated abuse. It is also tunable for varying boost levels with the included spring tuning kit. If there is ever a problem with the valve such as a torn o-ring, replacements are available free of charge, and the valve is fully rebuildable.
As the Genesis Coupe 2.0T does not use a MAF (mass air flow) sensor, there is no reason that the residual boost pressure at throttle lift cannot be vented to the atmosphere such as with this valve. The engine management does not meter the air volume entering the engine, so this residual pressure can be discharged without any adverse affects on the performance or driveability of the vehicle. Additionally, the valve being open at an idle or vacuum condition is a normal occurance, and is not indicative of a leaking valve. If the intake manifold is in vacuum, even while cruising at speed, the valve may be open. The OEM valve operates in this same manner, however, it is just not visible/audible because it is recirculating instead of vented to the atmosphere. Using a stiffer spring to keep the valve closed at a vacuum condition may result in too stiff of a spring tension to effectively discharge pressure at a throttle lift condition.

Purchased for my 2013 Kia Pro Ceed GT. Was a bit of a pain to fit on this model as it's taller than the original it replaces but once on its functions as desired and make an awesome sound!
I recently purchased this BOV for my 2016 Hyundai I30 turbo, which has the same engine and corresponding parts such as the inter cooler to the Hyundai Veloster. The BOV its self fits on the intercooler in place of the stock recurculation valve perfectly. How ever because the body is diferent between the 2 cars, the frame that holds the intercooler and radiator inplace was in the way so some slight modification to the placement of the top intercooler bracket had to be made moving the BOV away from contact with the frame. Also the pipe that connects to the stock valve was to small to fit over the pipe on the BOV so some extra pipe work had to be added and the BOV now fits and sounds perfect. Would highly recomend this product.
Purchased for my 2004 Saab 9-3 Aero 2.0T which has a mitsubishi TD04L-14T turbo. Was very easy to fit and sounds wonderful when letting of the throttle pedal. Highly recommend this product to other saab 9-3 aero owners.

Do not use aggressive (acidic) car cleaning products, particularly traffic film remover solutions or shampoos to clean your intercooler, radiator, or oil cooler. The use of these products can damage Forge Motorsport cooling systems and invalidate your warranty. These are often found at car washes. A light, warm, soapy solution (free of harsh acidic cleaning compounds) should be used to clean you cooler and thoroughly rinsed away. We recommend that you should inspect your product on a regular basis for bent and/or crushed fins. Any bent fins should be carefully straightened to allow ambient air to pass through the core face. At the time of installing your Forge radiator, an approved coolant must be used and added to the coolant system. Be sure you never mix coolant and always use distilled water.
This warranty does not apply to any defect in the goods arising from fair wear and tear, wilful damage, accident, negligence by you or any third party, use otherwise than as recommended by the supplier, failure to follow the supplier’s instructions, or any alteration or repair carried out without the supplier’s approval.

Delivery is free of charge for all orders £200 (ex VAT) or over. Products are sent by standard DPD service which is usually a next day service, but can take 2 days in transit. We reserve the right to ship smaller, lower value items via Royal Mail or any other service. (Not including Scottish Highlands, Scottish Isles, Northern Ireland, Guernsey, Jersey, and Isle of Man where charges will vary).

All Forge products are sold with a Delivery Duty Unpaid (DDU) status and an import tariff may apply to your order. Some couriers are charging an admin fee for shipping into the EU.
